About Me

My photo
Cape town, Western Cape, South Africa
My name is Ricky d.Johnson, a photographer from Bridgetown on the dusty skirts of the Cape flats ,Cape town.Im married with a lovely wife call Melissa Faith Johnson for 5yrs & together we two lovely boys Logan, Israel & one on its way. As long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed the magic and memories that photos are able to create. I love to capture the essence of emotion, to freeze time and be able to revisit memories. I like to take pictures that are meaningful. Pictures that put you in the moment, that allow you to share in the sheer happiness of a special time, take in the excited looks of a child, or even experience the serenity of a peaceful day. I am excited to take this opportunity to share my thoughts and my work. I can only hope that you enjoy my photos as much as I love taking them!

It was those moments that one will never forget. All these graduates were overwhelmed & by the look of their expressions on there faces and as a photographer you can really see the appreciation & the gratefulness on there on hearts. Tying the knot

Look to God

As we reflect on our daily lives we realise that everyday is a gift from God and we need to look to God and to God only. Its only through His grace that we are alive today, inhale fresh & listening to the sound of the birds, wind & the rain.
Look to God when there are needs in your life.He satisfies like calm sheep grazing in the afternoon sun,you will find fulfillment for you soul & contentment. How often to we reflect on our childhood lives, they we grew up in a certain society & thought too yourself, wow i never knew i will make it through life.Guess what by you reading this blog you made it & with that i want to congratulate you for succeeding life thus far. God has a plan for your life & don't forget that.Let us always reflect and think back about our/your achievements in life.Let us LOOK TO GOD (Philipains 4:19,20)

Table for two

Marriage is having someone to curl up against when the world seems cold & life uncertain. It is having someone who is as concerned as you are when the children are sick. It is having a hand that keeps checking your forehead for fever when you're not well. To be married is to have someone's shoulder to cry on as they lower your parent's body into the ground. It is wrapping wrinkled knees in warm blankets & giggling without teeth!!Lol
To the person you marry, you are saying,"When my time comes to leave this world, and the chilly wind of eternity blows away my birthdays, and my future stands cold & dark in the night, it's your face i want to kiss good-bye. It is your hand i want to squeeze as i slip from time into eternity.
As the curtain closes on all i have attempted to do and be, I want to look into your eyes and see that I mattered. Now what i looked like. Not what i did or how much money I made. Not how talented i was, I want to look into the teary eyes of someone who loves me and see - I mattered!"

If you are looking for someone to be your everything, don't look around, look up! God is the only One who can be everything, By excepting perfection from the flesh, you ask more out of someone else than you are able to provide yourself. To be married is to have a partner- someone who can look up with you.

The lens will captured every moment

For me, photographs take their power from memory and emotion. A picture tells its own story, shaped by the mood or insights of the person you are at the time you see it. It becomes layered with the past and the present.A face can tell a perfect story

Goodevening all how are you? Some advise from Ricky's photography
Did you ever took a picture of a loved one, only to find that the face is dark when you get the picture back? There is a simple way to fix that. Watch the sun. Whenever possible, you should have the sun behind you when taking a picture. That way Mother Nature is providing the lights for you. The sun will highlight the areas you want to see, usually the face. If the sun is in front of you, it will cast a shadow right where you want to see.

Happy moments!!

Ricky's Photography The photograph itself doesn't interest me. I want only to capture a minute part of reality.
